Online trading more than doubled in the first half of 2020

The coronavirus epidemic led to a surge in online shopping in Macedonia. It’s reported that in the first half of the year, online shopping using cards issued in Macedonia rose to 69.4 million EUR, which is more than double the same period last year.

The AETM association of e-traders says that the numbers would be even higher if it weren’t for unlicensed, unregistered vendors. The association calls on the Government to help fight such vendors.
