Yesterday, Northern Macedonia recorded a new record for the number of new cases of coronavirus with 1,321. There are currently 15,975 active cases in the country, of which 1,049 are hospitalized. According to yesterday’s data, there was also a record number of tests with 3,836 tests, while the percentage of confirmed cases is 34.4.
The total number diagnosed since the beginning of the pandemic is 42,540 of which 25,353 are patients and 1,212 are dead.
Almost half of the active cases are in Skopje 7,410, while from the municipalities of the capital most are in Aerodrom, Gazi Baba and Karposh and less in Aracinovo.
The report of the Institute for Public Health, which deals with the period from 2 to 8 November, shows that there is an increase of 25.5 percent of new cases.
During this period, the percentage of positive cases from the tested is 37 percent, and also 127 deaths were registered, which is 41.1 percent more than last week.
Over 1,000 people who are infected with the COVID-19 virus or are suspected of being ill are currently being treated in Macedonian hospitals.
Otherwise, the number of people infected with coronavirus is over 52 million, of which 36.6 have been cured, 14.4 are active cases and almost 1.3 have lost their lives.
