Merkel appeals to Zaev and Borisov to reach an agreement as soon as possible

During the press conference within the Berlin Process, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the Berlin Process has always been associated with overcoming disputes and that the countries of the region must agree among themselves, informs DailyNews.mk

“The Berlin process has always been associated with reconciliation and overcoming disputes, we believe that this process will continue. It is a good sign that the Conference in the framework of the Berlin Process enabled people to meet. “We encourage the countries of the Western Balkans to deepen cooperation in science, because it is the best way to promote the research and innovation that we all love, and this will improve the situation in your country as well.”

Merkel finally invited the participants of this Summit to Berlin, as she expressed her analysis of how far we have come with the Berlin Process.

The German Chancellor reminded Prime Ministers Zaev and Borisov that they should find an agreement on the Sofia-Skopje dispute.

“Governments have agreed on a green agenda and the aim is to contribute to climate protection. This is a crucial issue for the development of the six Western Balkan countries,” Merkel said.
