Kosovo, former political prisoner trying to report Serbian crimes

While the Special Court in Hague continues with its appeals against the former KLA members, the former political prisoners of the Dubrava detention center continue to search justice.

Visar Ballovci, a former political prisoner, will testify on October 12th at the Human Rights Court in Strasbourg for the crimes that Serbia has committed against the Dubrava prisoners.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Ballovci, who was arrested for being a member of the KLA, said that he stayed for 18 months in the Serbian prison, and that he wants to testify at the International Court for the crimes committed in that place.

He said he was optimistic that he would find justice in Strasbourg, as he underlined that he has met with the negligence of the other institutions for years.

The Special Court has arrested several former KLA members in the past days. The first arrest was that of Sali Mustafa, a former Commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

One day later was arrested Hysni Ducati, Head of the War Veterans Organization.
