Filipce: There is no need for quarantine

The Minister of Health, Venko Filipce in a show on TV Sitel said that the measure of the curfew during the evenings is being examined.

“Now is not the time for curfews, but it is being considered as a possibility of restricting movement in the evening. We have recommended measures so that people have nowhere to go in the evening and therefore we do not need it. We need to keep in mind what is being done in other countries. “If we see that the measures have no effect, we will go to the complete closure of hotel facilities at a certain hour, earlier than it is now or the complete closure of facilities where there are cultural events”, said Filipçe.

Filipce says similar decisions are being made in all countries.

According to him, the main criterion for why the measures are being taken is the capacity of hospitals for hospitalization, and that there are currently enough free beds in Macedonia.
