€35.8 million in damages to state budget due to violations at customs, taxes and tenders

34 institutions in the country are responsible for €35.8 million in losses to the state budget.

The economic damage incurred during the first 6 months of 2020 was noted by the Supreme State Audit (KLSH), while the report is still lacking the final assessment of 55 other institutions.

From January to June, the irregularities and financial violations reach a value of €17.5 million.

The same report estimates that it has found financial violations with a negative impact on the performance of audited entities, in the total amount of €18.3 million.

Sectors with the biggest violations

According to KLSH, the greatest violations were noted in taxes (approximately 1 billion ALL), followed by customs (453 million ALL).

The Supreme State Audit forwarded 10 criminal reports to the prosecution for violations found from January-June 2020.
